Trump Sounds Off On Biden’s Classified Documents Scandal With Mocking Statement

Former President Donald Trump ripped and mocked his successor, President Joe Biden, on Monday after the latter’s own classified documents scandal grew worse with the discovery of additional documents at his home in Delaware.

Specifically, Trump lambasted Biden over reports that he stored some classified documents in a “flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured” garage at one of his Delaware homes, while his documents were very securely locked up at his Mar-a-Lago estate before the unprecedented FBI raid in August that Biden reportedly approved.

“The White House just announced that there are no LOGS or information of any kind on visitors to the Wilmington house and flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured, but now very famous, garage. Maybe they are smarter than we think!” Trump posted Monday morning on Truth Social.

“This is one of seemingly many places where HIGHLY CLASSIFIED documents are stored (in a big pile on the damp floor). Mar-a-Lago is a highly secured facility, with Security Cameras all over the place, and watched over by staff & our great Secret Service. I have INFO on everyone!”

In a letter to White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), who now heads the House Oversight Committee, demanded a list of visitors to Biden’s home as the classified docs scandal worsens.

He wrote:

The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is continuing to investigate President Biden’s mishandling of highly classified documents. It is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information. Additionally, President Biden’s personal attorneys, who do not possess security clearances, and White House staff continue to access and search1 the President’s residence in Wilmington, Delaware for classified documents. Given the serious national security implications, the White House must provide the Wilmington residence’s visitor log. As Chief of Staff, you are head of the Executive Office of the President and bear responsibility to be transparent with the American people on these important issues related to the White House’s handling of this matter.

But Biden administration officials said the president and Secret Service did not keep logs of who visited Biden’s home.

“Like every president in decades of modern history, his personal residence is personal,” White House spokesman Ian Sams said. “But upon taking office, President Biden restored the norm and tradition of keeping White House visitors logs, including publishing them regularly, after the previous administration ended them.”

Last week, Biden’s legal team said they discovered classified documents for when Biden served as Barack Obama’s vice president. It isn’t clear if Obama declassified those documents before Biden removed them; as VP he would not have had the authority to do so himself.
