Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Wednesday that the Biden regime has no plans to delete its Twitter account, after they criticizing the platform and new President Elon Musk.

Jean-Pierre was asked by FOX News’ Peter Doocy.

“When are you guys gonna delete the White House Twitter account?” Doocy asked.

“Why would we do that?” Jean-Pierre replied.

Doocy quoted Jean-Pierre’s words to her, when she said that the White House was “keeping an eye on Twitter because it might not be a suitable platform,” asking, “so why use it?”

“Look,” Jean-Pierre began, “I want to be very clear here. The president has always said, and he has been very clear in his belief that it is important of social media platforms to take steps to reduce hate speech and misinformation … and so look, I don’t have anything to share; any policy or any changes that we would be making.”

“We have multiple platforms,” she added, “that we utilize to communicate with the American people.”

Doocy grilled Jean-Pierre on whether the White House would attempt to shut down Twitter for American users, like the European Union is currently threatening to do unless the tech giant meets certain criteria.

Jean-Pierre did not give a straightforward answer.

“We very much monitor the news,” she said. “Twitter’s in the news a lot, and so that’s what we’re paying attention to; we’re paying attention to what is in the news and what is being reported on the misinformation that’s out there.”

She said that the NAACP, Anti-Defamation League and others have been “very vocal about their concerns.”

“I would hope that all Americans, including social media companies … will agree that we need to call out hate speech and misinformation.”

President Joe Biden had previously accused Eon Musk of allowing Twitter to spread “lies across the world.”
