President Donald Trump is spiking the football after news that his administration has brought illegal immigration to a screeching halt.
“The Invasion of our Country is OVER” he declared in a TruthSocial post on Friday.
“The month of February, my first full month in Office, had the LOWEST number of Illegal Immigrants trying to enter our Country in History – BY FAR! There were only 8,326 apprehensions of Illegals by Border Patrol at the U.S. – Mexico Border, all of whom were quickly ejected from our Nation or, when necessary, prosecuted for crimes against the United States of America. This means that very few people came – The Invasion of our Country is OVER,” the president said in the post.
The apprehension numbers for President Trump’s first full month in the White House show a whopping 96 percent drop from former President Joe Biden’s high in December 2023, when Customs and Border Patrol reported 301,981 encounters.
“In fiscal year 2024, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported 271,484 removals, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported about 700,000 removals and returns, more than any prior fiscal year since 2010,” Fox News reported.
Former President Biden’s administration routinely had days where they had more than 10,000 encounters at the Southern border, greater than President Trump’s total for the entire first month of his administration.
Trump’s success comes exclusively from executive actions that former President Biden insisted he could not do.
“February was the lowest month in recorded history for encounters at our border. The world is hearing our message: do not come to our country illegally. If you do, we will find you, arrest you, and send you back. Thank you President (Donald Trump) for your strong leadership and to our brave (CBP) officers and agents for keeping America safe. We’re just getting started,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a post on X.
