Ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview with CNN set for Thursday—the first since she was named the Democratic presidential candidate over a month ago—the Trump campaign has released a list of questions they believe CNN’s Dana Bash should ask Harris. The interview will feature Harris alongside her running mate, Tim Walz.
1. If you are capable of lowering prices for Americans, why haven’t you done it in the 3½ years you have been in office?pic.twitter.com/W9H1CSDZlA

The proposed questions target Harris’ current role in the White House, highlighting promises she made to address issues that, according to the Trump campaign, she could have already acted upon.
3. You co-sponsored Medicare-for-All and the Green New Deal.
Do you still support these multi-trillion-dollar takeovers of the American economy? pic.twitter.com/rQqNWO4Zge

One suggested question reads, “If you are capable of lowering prices for Americans, why haven’t you done it in the 3 1/2 years you have been in office?” Another asks, “You say housing affordability would be a ‘Day One priority’ if you were elected. Why is it not a priority now?”
5. President Trump didn't need a "border bill" to secure the border. Why did you support executive actions like stopping construction of the border wall and halting deportations that intentionally unsecured the border?https://t.co/Zbwx2OmHv7

Other questions include, “You co-sponsored Medicare-for-All and the Green New Deal. Do you still support these multi-trillion-dollar takeovers of the American economy?” and, “You talk a lot about ‘freedom.’ What about the freedoms of Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray? These women were killed by illegal immigrants who were let into the country under your watch.”
7. Why did you conceal Joe Biden's cognitive decline from the American people?pic.twitter.com/UzRPkgHABj

Additional queries from the Trump campaign ask, “Why did you support executive actions like stopping construction of the border wall and halting deportations that intentionally unsecured the border?” and “Under your watch, wars are popping up in Europe and the Middle East. Why is that?” They also questioned, “Why did you conceal Joe Biden’s cognitive decline from the American people?” and “Why do you want fewer police officers?”
The campaign also addressed Harris’ stance on criminal justice reform, stating, “You’ve called for getting rid of cash bail and your campaign hasn’t backed away from it. Why do you still support such a radical view?” Another pointed question asks, “You have sent anonymous aides out to claim you’ve abandoned the radically liberal positions that you’ve held for decades. Do you think lying to the American people is the best strategy?”
The Trump campaign speculated that Harris scheduled her interview right before Labor Day weekend to minimize viewership. “It’s no coincidence that Kamala’s first interview is scheduled for the Thursday night before Labor Day weekend. They already hope it gets lost—and it hasn’t even aired yet. Kamala is clearly scared to do an interview on her own, and it’s pre-taped so they can clean it up.”

The Trump team also criticized Harris’ lack of clear policy positions, advising the Harris-Walz campaign to create and post a policy page, highlighting the absence of detailed information on her website.
