Dems Working to Make Elections Less Trustworthy: Report

Democrats have continued to tell voters that they need to trust that the presidential election is going to be safe and secure, but they have been working hard to make them less safe.

However, Democrats in several states have signed legislation making it against the law to require voter identification, and the Department of Justice under Biden-Harris is suing Alabama and Virginia to stop those states from removing noncitizens from their voter rolls, The Daily Caller reported.

Also, the party has an army of lawyers on retainer ready to file a host of lawsuits after Election Day if Kamala Harris is defeated by former President Donald Trump, the Caller added.

But they were smacked down by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

“What’s so bizarre about that lawsuit, the two lawsuits that DOJ has filed … that is the exact opposite of what DOJ should be doing, it is a criminal violation of federal – in fact, it’s a felony for an alien to register to vote,” senior legal fellow focusing on election integrity at the Heritage Foundation Hans von Spakovsky said to the Daily Caller.

“And so what the DOJ ought to be doing is going to Virginia and saying, ‘can you please give me the files of each of these voters so we can investigate and potentially prosecute them?’ And no, instead, they’re saying, ‘no, you have to keep on the voter rolls aliens who are breaking federal law,’” he said.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court issued a decision temporarily stopping a lower court decision that ordered Virginia to read the noncitizens it removed from its voter rolls, Fox News reported.

“The decision is a victory for Gov. Glenn Youngkin and comes just days after the state of Virginia filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court to halt a lower court decision ordering it to restore the names of some 1,600 individuals to its voter rolls,” the report said.

“At the heart of the case is whether Virginia’s voter removal process violates a so-called quiet period under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), or a federal law requiring states to halt all ‘systematic’ voter roll maintenance for a 90-day period before a federal election,” it said.
