Biden To Disrespect Memory Of 9/11 Victims With Change In Tradition

President Joe Biden, likely at the urging of his Democrat handlers, is planning to break a tradition and in doing so, upset tens of millions of Americans.

Rather than observe the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks at one of the three sites — New York City, the Pentagon, and western Pennsylvania — he will instead do so from Alaska.

Fox News reported:

On Monday, Sept. 11, Biden will travel to a military base in Alaska where he will mark the 22nd anniversary of the attacks in a memorial ceremony with members of the military and their families, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement Monday.

The White House explained that the president will travel to Alaska to mark the somber occasion after his Sept. 10 trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, where he will meet with Vietnamese General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders to discuss technological innovation and climate change in an effort to bolster the two nations’ relationship.

Concurrently, as President Biden takes part in 9/11 ceremonies in Alaska, Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will observe the event in a commemorative ceremony at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City, according to Jean-Pierre. Additionally, First Lady Jill Biden will place a wreath at the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.

Biden’s actions on September 11 mark the first time since the attacks that a president has chosen not to commemorate the event at either the White House or any of the three sites targeted on that fateful day.

In 2015, then-President Barack Obama engaged in a moment of silence on the White House lawn before traveling to Maryland’s Fort Meade, as reported by The Associated Press. Likewise, in 2005, then-President George W. Bush took part in a ceremony on the White House lawn, Fox News added.

“On every other 9/11 anniversary, presidents have traveled to at least one of the three attack sites in New York City, northern Virginia and Shanksville, Pennsylvania,” the network noted further, adding: “Sept. 11 also represents the date in 2021 that Biden announced he would order the Department of Defense to withdraw all remaining U.S. troops from Afghanistan by.”

The Afghanistan withdrawal under Biden in August 2021 ended with a terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 13 American service members guarding the Kabul airport, which served as a site for the tumultuous evacuation operation undertaken by the U.S. and its allies.
