A former Virginia high school teacher is facing several charges after allegedly selling vape cartridges containing THC and nicotine to students.
Kaitlyn Crescent, 28, was arrested by the Fairfax County Police Department last week following an investigation into incidents that occurred at Falls Church High School.
“On October 24, Child Protective Services received a referral that a teacher was selling vape cartridges to students at school. Detectives were notified and assumed the investigation,” the department stated.
According to investigators, Crescent sold vape cartridges with nicotine and THC to four students between December 2023 and June 2024.
Police charged Crescent with multiple offenses, including Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Distribution of a Controlled Substance on School Property, and Distribution of Tobacco/Hemp to a Minor.
“She was placed on administrative leave and is no longer employed with Fairfax County Public Schools,” authorities said. Crescent is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on a $4,000 bond.
Fairfax County Public Schools confirmed Crescent’s employment history, stating she was hired in August 2021 and terminated on Dec. 31, 2024.
A LinkedIn profile believed to belong to Crescent lists her profession as a learning disabilities teacher.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
