Republican vice presidential nominee and Ohio Sen. JD Vance had the perfect answer when asked about climate change and emissions during his debate with Democrat vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
The senator gave such a fantastic performance that he was praised by many in the media, including liberals, for how he handled himself during the debate.
The Minnesota governor appeared to many to be unprepared, but his Republican counterpart came armed with facts and his question on emissions was one of the highlights for him.
“You asked about climate change. This is a very important issue. A lot of people are justifiably worried about these crazy weather patterns. It’s important for us to say Donald Trump and I support clean air, clean water. We want the environment to be cleaner and safer,” Vance said.
“One thing I’ve noticed our Democratic friends talking about is a concern about carbon emissions, this idea that carbon emissions drives all the climate change. Let’s say that is true, for the sake of argument, so we are not arguing about weird science. Let’s say it’s true. If you believe that, would you want to do? The answer is you would want to reshore as much American manufacturing as possible, and produce as much energy as possible in the United States of America — because we are the cleanest economy in the entire world,” he said.
“What have Kamala Harris’s policies actually led to? More energy production in China, more manufacturing overseas, more doing business in some of the dirtiest parts of the entire world. When I say that, I mean the amount of Carbon emissions they’re doing per unit of economic output,” the Republican said.
“If we care about getting cleaner and cleaner water, the best thing to do is to double down and investing American workers and the American people. Unfortunately, Kamala Harris has done exactly the opposite,” he said.
