Trump Tears Into Zelensky: ‘I’ve Had It’ With Him

President Donald Trump just tore into Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a radio interview with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade.

The president said he was frustrated with how the Ukrainian president has been negotiating as if he has the leverage when, in fact, he has none.

“If I won the election, which I did, it’s a war that never ever would have started,” the president said to the host.

“I’ve been watching for years, and I’ve been watching him negotiate with no cards. He has no cards. And you get sick of it. You just get sick of it, and I’ve had it,” Trump said of Zelensky.

“And he then made a deal with us for rare earth and things, and who knows what ‘rare earth’ is worth, you know, but at least it’s something, and who knows what it’s worth,” he said.

“Who knows if they even have it, but we made a deal with rare earth and Secretary of Treasury, a very good guy, actually went there. And they couldn’t even come close to getting a deal done. And frankly, I wish he didn’t go there, waste all of his time like that, but they couldn’t get close,” the president said.

“They met and then when he wanted to get it close, he was unable to meet him again, but, so it was just a wasted trip, a dangerous trip too. I didn’t like it that he was doing it. Because you know he’s a good man. I didn’t want him to be — put himself under danger, because I had a feeling something like that would happen,” said Trump.

In a separate interview, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is lying about President Donald Trump’s proposal to share his nation’s rare earth minerals.

The secretary of state spoke to Catherine Herridge and said that the United States, with Trump, is not going to be “hustled” by Zelensky.

“One of the points the President made in his messaging is it’s not that we don’t care about Ukraine, but Ukraine is on another continent. It doesn’t directly impact the daily lives of Americans. We care about it because it has implications for our allies and ultimately for the world. There should be some level of gratitude here about this, and when you don’t see it and you see him out there accusing the President of living in a world of disinformation, that’s highly, very counterproductive,” Rubio said.

“And I don’t need to explain to you or anybody else Donald Trump’s not – President Trump’s not the kind of person that’s going to sit there and take that. He’s very transparent. He’s going to tell you exactly how he feels. And he sent a message that he’s not going to get gamed here. He’s willing to work on peace because he cares about Ukraine, and he hopes Zelensky will be a partner in that and not someone who’s out there putting the sort of counter-messaging to try to hustle us in that regard. That’s not going to be productive here,” he added.
