Former President Donald Trump held a rally for supporters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Monday night—his final appearance on the 2024 campaign trail—delivering a “simple” message before voters head to the polls on Tuesday.
Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden administration for their failures both domestically and internationally, saying, “Over the past four years, Americans have suffered one catastrophic failure, betrayal, and humiliation after another.”
“My message to Americans tonight is simple: We do not have to live this way. We do not have to settle for weakness, incompetence, decline, and decay,” Trump said.
During the rally, he also slammed the Biden-Harris economy, saying, “We handed them something beautiful, and they blew it.”
The Republican nominee dedicated a significant portion of his rally to addressing the southern border crisis, reiterating a promise he made in North Carolina that his administration would impose tariffs on Mexico until it reduces the flow of migrants to the U.S. He also reaffirmed his campaign pledge to implement the “largest deportation program of criminals in the history of our country.”
At one point during the rally, Trump was joined on stage by three of his children—Don Jr., Eric, and Tiffany—along with his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, and son-in-law, Michael Boulos. While on stage with his family, he expressed gratitude for their support “from the beginning.”
Pennsylvania is widely regarded as the most crucial battleground state for both Trump and Harris. The vice president is concluding her campaign with a rally in Philadelphia on Monday night, where she is expected to be joined by celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, and The Roots.
Trump, on the other hand, will conclude his campaign in Grand Rapids, Michigan, another critical battleground state where he is polling closely with Harris.
