Trump Gets Massive Vote Of Confidence From Unlikely Source

Global business leaders are meeting in Davos, Switzerland, for the annual gathering of the World Economic Forum, and they continue to talk about things in Washington, D.C., namely the 2024 presidential election, presumably between President Joe Biden and Republican frontrunner, former President Donald Trump.

And the business leaders, some of the most powerful people in the world, do not have kind news for Biden.

Business leaders from the United States are not concerned with Trump becoming president again, while their foreign counterparts are terrified, CNBC reported.

“I’m not sure Europeans understand how weak executive orders are,” one business person who asked to remain anonymous said. “We have a justice system. Congress will probably be divided. It’s right to be cautious, but it won’t be the end of the world.”

Another banking CEOP said that he believes Trump will be president again and that the media is making too much of him as a “threat>’

“He’s going to win the presidency,” the CEO said. “Many of his policies were right.”

Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan, said on “Squawk Box” that the former president was correct about many things.

“Just take a step back, and be honest. He was kind of right about NATO. He was kind of right about immigration. He grew the economy quite well. Trade. Tax reform worked. He was right about some of China,” he said. “I don’t like how he said things about Mexico, but he wasn’t wrong about some of these critical issues. And that’s why they’re voting for him.”

“I will be prepared for both, we will deal with both, my company will survive and thrive in both,” he said.

Stephen Schwarzman, the CEO of Blackstone, said that both Biden and Trump were flawed choices.

“I think we have an interesting presidential election now, where there are very high negatives, as you know, for both candidates,” he said. “I’m not into the hypothetical world yet as much as you’d like me to be. And we’ll see what happens. There are always surprises in these elections.”

Ben Smith, co-founder of business news outlet Semafor, said that he heard from many business leaders who believe Trump will be elected the next president but cautioned that the group has been a poor predictor in the past.

“This year, it is an absolute item of faith that Donald Trump will be elected president of the United States, which I think is great news for Joe Biden,” he said.
