Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to withdraw from the presidential race by the end of this week, according to sources familiar with the matter, as reported by ABC News. Sources indicate that Kennedy may endorse Donald Trump, though when directly questioned by ABC News, Kennedy responded, “I will not confirm or deny that,” adding, “We are not talking about any of that.”
The sources emphasized that the decision has not been finalized and could still change. One source mentioned that Kennedy is aiming to finalize his plans quickly, partly to counter any momentum from the Democratic National Convention.

A possible scenario under discussion involves Kennedy appearing on stage with Trump at an event in Phoenix on Friday, though sources close to the situation noted that Kennedy’s plans are still fluid and nothing has been confirmed by Trump’s team.
Kennedy’s campaign manager, Amaryllis Fox, sent an email to senior staff on Wednesday morning, expressing gratitude for their hard work but indicating that a final decision on the campaign’s future had not yet been made, according to a source familiar with the communication. Fox wrote, “There are a couple potential paths forward, not only two, and I can bear witness to the care, examination that Bobby has invested in the consideration of each.”
A spokesperson for Kennedy announced on X that Kennedy will “address the nation” live on Friday to discuss his “path forward,” but did not provide further details.

A Trump campaign spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, who mentioned in a podcast interview that Kennedy was considering “joining forces” with Trump, told ABC News on Wednesday that the decision is “Bobby’s decision” and that she fully supports him.
