MSNBC host Joy Reid may be one of the most dramatic people in the entire media world.
The progressive host said that she believes people have a legitimate reason to be terrified since President-elect Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency.
“People are rightfully alarmed. They have a reason to be alarmed. And if you would vote for that, people may not feel so confident that they are safe with you,” the host said.
“This is not crazy. This is legitimate feelings of fear of you. And a feeling that you might not be someone they can trust, if this thing goes way south. Autocracies go south real fast, and things get ugly and people get asked to do things and turn people in and point people out and turn on them,” she said.
“And if you’re voting affirmatively, gleefully, for this, people might not feel so confident in you anymore. That’s real, and you kind of have to live with it. If you think you can vote for what people see as their destruction and then demand that they’re still cool with you and have Thanksgiving with you, you are kind of missing the point about what people are upset about. They’re afraid. Autocracy and fascism are things that are legitimate to be afraid of. So you might want to step back,” Reid added.
It comes after former Fox News host Megyn Kelly shredded Reid and predicted that she would be fired.
The host made the prediction on her Sirius XM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show,” where she said it was only a matter of time until she was axed.
“It’s a tick-tock situation until [Joy Reid] her ass is fired. There’s no way MSNBC, which is in a full meltdown now about how bad their losses were, there’s no way they can keep this woman. I realize they’re the same problem that the Democrat Party is like, [and] they have a base that they need to keep. But she and her little friend Ellie Mystal are truly the most racist people on television. And here’s her latest messaging as some groups indeed are reportedly planning some march like the Women’s March… now they’re trying to get a march ready, that’ll do it…” Kelly said before watching a meltdown by the MSNBC host aimed at white progressive women where she told them not to invite black women to their anti-Trump protests because they are done with “saving America.”
