The mainstream media has been insane about former President Donald Trump’s appearance behind the counter at a McDonald’s.

There has been “hard hitting journalism” decrying the fact that he did not really work an entire shift and that the establishment was actually closed and the customer’s were screened, as if a presidential candidate who has had two attempts on his life would be serving random people not screened by the Secret Service.

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly spoke about it on her Sirius XM radio show where she said his appearance was a hit with voters as she laughed at the media’s response.

“I loved it. I loved everything about it. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. And I know that he was over the target, because the media truly can’t stand it. They’re having such a vicious reaction to Trump showing up outside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in his regular suit… serving fries and delivering people’s meals… It’s amazing… I really thought this was quite genius. Everyone knows Trump loves McDonald’s,” Kelly began.

“No, Trump has never worked in McDonald’s. He was born to a very rich father, as everyone knows, but he eats there all the time. And so he’s telegraphing that even though he’s got all this money, he really isn’t every man, he knows the menu forward and back. And he’s drawing attention to the fact that he – like many – doubts Kamala Harris’s claims to have worked there something she’s never been able to really substantiate. And it’s also just a great photo op in the same way we see these politicians go to state fairs and eat the fried corn dog. This is Trump’s State Fair. Only, it’s real for him and he actually loves it,” the host added.

“It’s fun to see Trump in a McDonald’s serving fries… What’s important about it, in addition to the fact that it’s just good clean fun is, that’s not a dictator. That’s not a fascist. That’s not Hitler. I mean, the left will continue trying to tell us that it is, that’s the thing about Trump… He does have this great ability to be an everyman,” Kelly continued.

” He swears, he makes the occasional D joke. He shows up at McDonald’s, and you know that he lives on that food, Hershey’s chocolate bars, and diet coke. Like he isn’t… Jon Bon Jovi with a glass of wine, literally with his pinky out behind stage after trying to pose as the hardcore rocker in front of his audience. With Trump, what you see is what you get. He did not put on… the tank top, the sleeveless tank top… What did you want him to wear? Anyway, those are the two reasons. I think it works among others,” she said.

“It just reminds you what you like about Trump. He’s funny. He’s self deprecating in his own way. He’s entertaining. This is actually what a lot of voters are attracted to. He’s not a boar. Good gracious, Kamala Harris doesn’t understand that,” Kelly noted.
