Forer President Donald Trump has scored a massive endorsement that could open the floodgates to more Republican megadonors coming onboard.

Billionaire Blackstone CEO and co-founder Stephen Schwarzman has changed his mind on former President Donald Trump and will be backing him in the 2024 election, Axios reported.

“I share the concern of most Americans that our economic, immigration and foreign policies are taking the country in the wrong direction,” he said to Axios on Friday.

“For these reasons, I am planning to vote for change and support Donald Trump for President. In addition, I will be supporting Republican Senate candidates and other Republicans up and down the ticket,” he said.

The CEO, who was briefly the chairman of Trump’s Strategic and Policy Forum, said that the “dramatic rise of antisemitism has led me to focus on the consequences of upcoming elections with greater urgency.”

In 2022 the CEO criticized the former president for focusing on the 2020 presidential election as he called for new leadership for the Republican Party.

“America does better when its leaders are rooted in today and tomorrow, not today and yesterday,” he said. “It is time for the Republican Party to turn to a new generation of leaders and I intend to support one of them in the presidential primaries.”

The decision comes after former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley ga e her support to the former president.

“I will be voting for Trump,” Haley, she said during an engagement at the Hudson Institute in Washington.

“Having said that, I stand by what I said in my suspension speech,” she said. “Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me and not assume that they’re just going to be with him. And I genuinely hope he does that.”

The former president responded to the support by telling a News 12 reporter that he envisions Haley as being part of his team.

“Well, I think she’s gonna be on our team because we have a lot of the same ideas, the same thoughts,” he said.
