Vice presidential candidate and Republican Sen. JD Vance is not taking any prisoners when it comes to the mainstream media and its gotcha questions.

The Ohio Republican was visiting the Southern border, something Vice President Kamala Harris has expertly avoided doing many times, and a CNN reporter confronted him with a question he likely thought would trip up the senator.

It came after former President Donald Trump spoke at the National Association of Black Journalists convention and questioned whether Harris has always identified as black.

CNN reporter Steven Contorino confronted the senator and asked him if the former president’s response concerned him.

“You heard the former president’s comment yesterday to the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) where he said Vice President Harris is ‘all of a sudden black.’ As the father of biracial children, did those comments give you pause at all?” the reporter said.

And the senator expertly took him to task in less than one minute with the perfect response to such a ridiculous question.

“They don’t give me pause at all. All he said is Kamala Harris is a chameleon. She goes to Georgia two days ago — she was raised in Canada — she puts on a fake Southern accent. She is everything to everybody and she pretends to be somebody different depending on what audience she is in front of. I think it is totally reasonable for the president to call that out, and that is all he did,” the senator said.

“Look, she is running as a tough-on-crime prosecutor, even though she implemented open-border policies. She’s saying she wants to support the police, yet she wanted to defund the police just three years ago. It is totally reasonable to call out the fact that she pretends to be somebody different depending on who she’s talking to,” he said.

It would also be reasonable for a reporter to ask her about it, if they can ever find her.
