In a court hearing on August 15 before Judge James Farrell, Pinola Pop admitted to the charge of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class D violent felony. Sentencing is set for October 10. According to the District Attorney’s office, on September 25, 2023, Pinola Pop “subjected a seven-year-old child to sexual contact with his hands and penis on her vagina.” The victim disclosed the incident to her mother, who informed a community member, leading to Pinola Pop’s arrest on October 13 after admitting to the crime during questioning by Kingston Police.
Jenna Hastings, Special Victims Bureau Chief for the District Attorney’s Office, emphasized the gravity of the crime in a statement: “The message of this case is clear. A child should never be the target of a sexual act for anyone.”

As border security issues continue under the Biden-Harris administration, Vice President Kamala Harris, who is also the Democratic presidential candidate, has recently shifted her stance on building a southern border wall. Harris now indicates her willingness to allocate millions toward completing the wall first proposed by Donald Trump during his 2016 campaign, despite previously condemning the project as “un-American” and a “medieval vanity project.”
Illegal immigrants are increasingly straining city budgets as they are relocated from the southern border, often staying at high-end hotels funded by taxpayers. In California, illegal immigrants may soon become eligible for up to $150,000 in taxpayer-funded loans, making it the first state to offer such financial support to those residing in the country illegally.
