Fox News host Harris Faulkner was confused when a former Democrat lawmaker insisted that the economy was in fantastic shape.

After the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on Friday that only 12,000 jobs were added in the month of October, the Fox News host spoke to former Democrat New York State Sen. David Carlucci and questioned as to the reason Democrat presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris is not acknowledging the pain many Americans are in.

The former lawmaker inexplicably decreed that the economy was in better shape today than it was four years ago when former President Donald Trump was in the White House.

“We do have to talk about this, and I’m wondering why the vice president isn’t talking about this. Because I have to think they know before we do,” the host said. “And so getting ahead of this with a more juicy message on I feel your pain, she’s got Bill Clinton, goodness gracious, take him with you. I mean, don’t let him talk about the border, though, because that’s gonna be a problem for Kamala Harris. But seriously, what’s going on in the last few days? That’s not what we’re seeing.”

“I think this is a winning issue for Kamala Harris,” the former lawmaker said before the host said, “But she’s not leading in any of these polls.”

He insisted that the polls on the economy were “neck and neck” before the host said, “Wait, 53 to 45, you think is neck-and-neck?”

“These are closer than what many people would have said if you only listen to one side and the rallies that Donald Trump does. He acts like the economy is in the toilet, but that’s just not true,” the former lawmaker said. “Yes, people are struggling, and Kamala Harris knows that and says that, but you’ve got to take it in its entirety. If we look at where we were four years ago, economists were saying we were headed towards a recession, possibly a depression.”

“Where we were four years ago was heading into 9% inflation, 9% inflation,” Faulkner said.

“So exactly four years ago, around the time of the election, what was being handed was 1.4%. So I’m confused. I don’t think you want to go back four years, ’cause that’s an easy conversation to have,” she said.
