President Donald Trump is a “legend” who conforms the conversation around the world to what he wants it to be, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said.

He was speaking to his cohosts on “The Five” when they began speaking about the president’s comments on Gaza and he said that Trump reshaped the conversation.

“Being a new father I can say this is purely a dad move. Huge fight with your sister over the remote, your dad comes down, and he turns off the TV and just takes the remote. ‘No Gutfeld!’ That creates a common enemy. Dad. So the quarrel is over. Now you’ve got to deal with dad and it forces the siblings to come up with a creative alternative and suddenly all of these Middle East countries, Jordan and Egypt, those are the kids, have to go, well, I don’t want dad involved. Well, maybe you have to start thinking about paying for the rebuilding or monitoring the peace or taking in some of the refugees. It causes the kids involved to go, woo, not so fast, we didn’t really want this,” Gutfeld began.

“They don’t want America in the middle of everything. But exactly what you said. He said you are not doing anything about it and you are right, the way he described it, the fact that he is creating a new conversation. He forces, he kind of forces the world to conform and react to him. This is why he is not a president, he is now officially a legend, and a legend create a story around yourself and world leaders, they want to see him, they want selfies with him, they want to please him, it is a phenomenon that is not about shaking the box, he throws the box into traffic. He may make more progress simply by doing this then has been done in ages,” he added.
