Republican Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has some advice for her former boss, former President Donald Trump.
The former White House press secretary’s advice for the former president is simple, The Washington Examiner reported.
“Keep doing what we’re doing,” she said to the Examiner. “The Democrat Party’s ideas are so broken, and we’ve seen that over the last 3 1/2 years that they aren’t serving the American people.”
“I think we continue to stay focused on our message and it’ll carry us to a big victory,” the popular governor said.
She also said, during the interview which was conducted at the Republican National Convention when it was believed that President Joe Biden would be the Democrat presidential nominee, that she does not see her former boss having issues with women or other demographics that are usually tough for Republicans.
“We’ve had a lot of buildup to this moment, with people talking to every demographic, every aspect of the country, over the course of the week,” the governor said.
“The Left loves to talk about the war on women, but the only war that I see being waged is from the far Left against the conservative, strong women in this country,” the governor said.
As far as being the youngest governor in the nation she said that her dad, and former governor, Mike Huckabee assisted her as “somebody, certainly, that I could call on anytime with hard questions.”
“It took a minute to get settled in like anything new does,” the governor said. “I can’t wait to see what we can do over the next six years.”
“I love what I’m doing,” the former press secretary said. “Glad to be back home in Arkansas, I’m going to do everything I can to help President Trump win in November. And I think him having strong, conservative, Republican governors fighting alongside him, implementing good policy at the state level is really important. And I’m glad that I get to serve in that role.”
And she gave advice to whoever would do her former job as press secretary for the former president.
“Have fun, enjoy the moment,” the governor said.
“It’s one of the most amazing opportunities you could ever have, for one of the most incredible public servants there is. So don’t forget to slow down and take it all in every once in a while, and have a good time,” she said.
