Fox’s Lawrence Jones Drops Big Advice For Trump Ahead Of Harris Debate

Former President Donald Trump is set to take the debate stage against Vice President Kamala Harris and the stakes could not be higher.

It could be a make or break debate for both candidates in a neck and neck campaign and “FOX & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones has some simple, yet poignant, advice for the former president and that is not to fall into the vice president’s bait trap.

“Donald Trump is in a peculiar situation right now. When you look at the polling data amongst Latinos, black voters, you see these gains happening. And there’s a case for all these people saying they were better off under his economy. You want to keep those voters right there,” the host said.

“What Kamala Harris is going to try to do is get him into this race war, right? To be vicious. To attack her as a woman. Don’t put voters in that position where they have to choose between their economic situation and feeling sympathetic for Kamala Harris,” he said.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt agreed with Jones and said of the former president, “He can’t get personal.”

“I’m not saying that it is fair,” Jones said.

“I’m not saying that she may not — she may go low and call him a racist on the stage, but his response should be, ‘You said that about Joe Biden too and you went to work for him.’ You have to be very strategic. They want ads of him eviscerating her for her personality, for being a woman,” Jones added.

Election analyst Nate Silver has assigned former President Donald Trump a record-high probability of winning against Vice President Kamala Harris.

The boost in Trump’s chances comes partly from the latest New York Times/Sienna poll, which Silver rates highly. His updated forecast gives Trump a 63.8% chance of victory, compared to Harris’s 36%. Silver also predicts that Trump is likely to win in every swing state, the Washington Examiner reported on Sunday.

Silver’s latest odds indicate that Trump has a 64% chance of winning Pennsylvania, 54% for Michigan, 53% for Wisconsin, 77% for Arizona, 75% for North Carolina, 68% for Georgia, and 61% for Nevada.

The latest forecast shows that Trump’s chances of winning have increased by almost five points since Thursday, bringing his probability to 58.2%, up from 52.4% the previous week. This change reflects a steady decrease in Harris’s initial support after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race in July.

In a Substack post, the polling forecaster explained that the new poll was bad news for Harris due to its large sample size and reliability, which he ranks as the second best. He said the new poll “confirms the model’s view that there’s been some sort of a shift in momentum in the race.”
