Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat Nominee for president, has been hiding from the press and Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy believes he knows the reason.
The vice president said that she wants to do an interview by the end of the month, but just one and many in the press have not been pushing the issue.
But Doocy believes the reason she wants to avoid the press is because she does not want to explain the policies she has supported.
“Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are out West trying to keep week one momentum going by sticking strictly to a script,” he said before playing a video in which the vice president said, “We know we are a work in progress.”
“So is the Harris platform, because the things the Vice President is implying to activists behind closed doors are apparently not always accurate. Exhibit A, Harris just met with leaders of the group who got 100,000 Michiganders to vote uncommitted in the primaries as a protest against Biden-Harris Gaza policy,” the correspondent said before playing a clip of some voters comments.
UNCOMMITTED VOTER #1: This movement has always been about policy shifts.
UNCOMMITTED VOTER #2: We want her to stop sending bombs to kill people we love.
“The New York Times reports those activists ‘expressed their unease with how the United States has continued to supply weapons to Israel and that they asked Ms. Harris to meet with them to discuss their group’s demand for an arms embargo on Israel. They said that Ms. Harris had indicated she was open to meeting with the group,’” Doocy continued.
“Here’s the problem. The Vice President’s National Security Advisor says she does not support an arms embargo on Israel. This is the latest inconsistency Harris hasn’t personally addressed, joining her positions on Medicare for All,” Doocy said before playing some damning comments from the vice president.
HARRIS: I support Medicare for All, and I support it for a number of reasons.
DOOCY: Fracking.
HARRIS: There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking.
DOOCY: And assault weapons buybacks.
HARRIS: I do believe that we need to do buybacks and put in place a ban on the importation of assault weapons into our country.
“Staffers insist Harris has moderated and no longer supports those positions, but the presumptive nominee hasn’t said that or explained why,” the Fox correspondent said.
“Vice President Harris has been talking so much lately about her life before she was VP, as a prosecutor, as a senator. But what she keeps leaving out is that back then, she appears to have had a very different worldview,” he added.
