Turning Point Action and America PAC, a pro-Trump group backed by SpaceX and X owner Elon Musk, have teamed up in Wisconsin, with America PAC assuming the leadership role in the final push before the election.
Turning Point Action recently hired hundreds of “ballot chasers” in Wisconsin, and these staff members are now joining forces with America PAC’s operation in the state, according to four anonymous sources familiar with the arrangement. America PAC, though starting its hiring later than Turning Point, will now lead the initiative by training Turning Point staff, managing operations, and covering staff costs in Wisconsin.
Both groups are playing a key role in the Republican get-out-the-vote efforts in battleground states. Some GOP strategists have criticized the ground game as lacking, particularly as the Trump campaign largely relies on volunteers.
Tyler Bowyer, Chief Operating Officer of Turning Point Action, revealed the partnership to Wisconsin staff during a meeting in Waukesha. The announcement was well-received, and Turning Point employees are now undergoing training under America PAC’s guidance.
Spokespeople for both organizations confirmed the collaboration but declined to share details about staffing numbers or financial arrangements. Andrew Kolvet, spokesperson for Turning Point, explained that with America PAC taking over much of the Wisconsin operation, Turning Point Action will redirect resources toward its field efforts in Arizona. The organization will also fund hotel stays for volunteers to door-knock in Wisconsin and Arizona during early voting.
“We’ve always known bodies in the field equals ballots in the box,” Kolvet said in a statement to POLITICO. “This partnership will be a major boost to our efforts to ensure our ballot chasers can make the most impact in Wisconsin.”
Kolvet further emphasized that the partnership benefits not just Wisconsin, but also Arizona, enabling the group to increase its staff and volunteer training efforts in both states for the final election stretch.
