Black Lives Matter’s Louisville chapter is “heading to the bank to get a cashier’s check to post Quintez Brown’s bail,” who was arrested this week after an attempted assassination of mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg.
According to Rachel Droze of WHAS, Brown was arrested and charged with attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment.
Droze published a video on Twitter of BLM affiliates paying the clerk’s office to release Brown.

Bail was set at $100,000. According to Brown’s lawyer, he is a “great kid” that’s dealing with “serious mental and emotional issues.”
Greenberg, a Democrat, was shot in his office after Brown allegedly entered the building with a gun and began shooting. Greenberg was graised by a bullet.
Brown is also a noted BLM activist and black nationalist. He was praised by former President Barack Obama, whose organization featured him as a “rising face” in 2019. He was a part of Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper” program.

“I have seen the consequences of poverty and centuries of systemic racism and oppression, and I believe in the potential of everyone,” said Brown in a statement on the foundation’s site, according to the Independent. “I cannot stand by silently while I see the lives and potential of my brothers and sisters be cut short due to systemic injustice. Our brothers need hope. Our brothers need positive role models. Our brothers need mentors.”
BLM Louisville has since compared the release of Brown to the release of the police officer who was exonerated in the killing Breonna Taylor.
“An individual under the police department who’s supposed to be a civil servant is supposed to have ethics or whatever they said. You got away with killing #BreonnaTaylor in a corrupt no-knock raid..,” they tweeted.
In response to allegations that Brown had been radicalized, BLM Louisville tweeted:
“The radicalization of any Black person in American is justification of erasure of the genocide against Black people.”

We, like you, have no idea what transpired in this situation.
