Biden’s NYC Fundraiser Includes Photo Op with Clinton and Obama Priced at $100K

President Biden joined former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton at a high-profile fundraiser in New York City on Thursday, aiming to amass over $25 million for his re-election campaign.

The event, held at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, drew more than 5,000 attendees, with ticket prices ranging from $250 to $500,000 for exclusive access. Notably, guests willing to pay $100,000 could have their photo taken with all three presidents by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Stephen Colbert, host of “The Late Show,” moderated a discussion among Biden and the two former presidents in front of the sizable audience. Additionally, a virtual event featuring the trio was available for a $25 entry fee.

Musical performances by artists such as Queen Latifah, Lizzo, and others were scheduled for the evening.

The fundraiser comes amidst robust fundraising efforts by the Biden campaign. In February alone, Biden raised over $53 million, followed by an additional $10 million within 24 hours after his recent State of the Union address.

Jeffrey Katzenberg, Biden campaign co-chair and Hollywood film mogul, lauded the fundraising success, emphasizing the momentum behind re-electing the Biden-Harris ticket. He stated, “Every dollar we’re raising is going to reach the voters who will decide this election.”

While the event received support, it also faced opposition. Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside Radio City Music Hall, expressing discontent with Biden’s stance on Israel following recent conflicts with Hamas.

Inside, interruptions during the Q&A segment disrupted the proceedings. President Obama addressed the interruptions, emphasizing the importance of listening. Meanwhile, emcee Mindy Kaling lightened the mood with humor, affirming the event’s purpose of supporting President Biden’s re-election.

As Biden participated in the fundraiser, former President Trump attended the wake of slain New York police officer Jason Diller.
