Biden White House Prepping Impeachment ‘War Room’ As GOP Gears Up

As a growing number of Republicans push for an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden for articles likely to be related to his alleged past nefarious business dealings, his White House is already making preparations for what officials there may see as inevitable.

According to Newsmax, citing an NBC News report, “Biden’s White House has comprised a war room of attorneys, legislative aides and communications staffers to combat a possible Republican impeachment inquiry into the president’s alleged influence peddling.”

“Talk of the House beginning an impeachment inquiry has picked up after committees’ investigations have discovered alleged misconduct by then-Vice President Biden in his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings,” Newsmax added, citing the report.

Staffed with as many as two dozen lawyers, the war room has been taking shape now for months, the reports noted.

According to the network, the president’s associates and supporters are gearing up to strongly oppose an impeachment inquiry, labeling it as a partisan sham lacking in evidence.

“Comparing this to past impeachments isn’t apples to apples or even apples to oranges; it’s apples to elephants,” a White House aide told NBC News. “Never in modern history has an impeachment been based on no evidence whatsoever.”

That said, former President Donald Trump’s allies accused Democrats of doing just that — impeaching him, twice, without any real evidence. Also, Republicans have argued that they have found a substantial amount of evidence indicating that Biden likely took a multi-million dollar bribe while serving as VP, and was well aware his son was selling access to him via various business deals, though he has repeatedly denied being aware of them.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., hinted on Sunday that a Biden impeachment inquiry appears to be “a natural step forward” when Congress returns after its summer break and House Republicans move to expand their investigative authority.

“If you look at all the information we have been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy told Fox News Channel. “That provides Congress the apex of legal power to get all the information they need.”

NBC News reported that Biden’s team has been researching the 1998 impeachment of then-President Bill Clinton, who was charged with lying under oath about his sexual relationship with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The House returned articles of impeachment, but the Senate did not convict him.
