During an appearance on “The View” Wednesday, President Biden expressed confidence in his ability to have beaten former President Trump in November, dismissing any significant reluctance from Democrats regarding his re-election campaign.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin questioned Biden about the pressure from fellow Democrats, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to step aside after his June debate with Trump.
Biden just went on the view and confirmed that Kamala has been working with him on all things "foreign policy" and "domestic policy."

“I never fully believed the assertions that somehow there was this overwhelming reluctance of my running again. I didn’t sense that,” Biden responded.
Biden appeared on the daytime talk show after withdrawing from the race in July, a decision he made following weeks of mounting pressure from within his party. Shortly after stepping down, he endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place on the ticket.
The president also referenced polling, suggesting that he remained within striking distance of a victory over Trump.
“And although the polling, they say ‘Biden’s polling was different,’ the fact of the matter is my polling was about, you know, we were always within range of beating this guy,” Biden said.
He made it clear that his decision to withdraw wasn’t due to party pressure but was based on his age and reflection on his future. When asked by Griffin if he believed he could have won had he stayed in the race, Biden confidently replied,
“Yes, I was confident I would beat Trump — he’s a loser.”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg then criticized Democrats who pressured Biden to step aside, expressing her dissatisfaction with how the matter was handled.
“You were my ride or die,” Goldberg said to the president.
“I didn’t like the way it was done publicly. I thought they could have done this in a different way, because we didn’t need to hear all the inner fighting. I didn’t like it,” she added.
