Biden Makes Another Embarrassing Comment at White House ‘Black History Month’ Event: ‘I May Be A White Boy But…’

During a Black History Month event held at the White House on Monday, President Joe Biden made a perplexing statement, claiming that despite being a “white boy,” he was not “dumb.”

“We hosted a screening because it’s important to say from the White House, for the entire country to hear, history matters. History matters, and black history matters,” Biden said as he reflected on his screening of the film “Till” earlier this month. “We can’t just choose to learn what we want to know. We learn what we should know, to learn everything, the good, the bad, the truth of who we are as a nation. That’s what great nations do, and we are a great nation.”

Biden then made a reference to a group of black sororities called the “Divine Nine,” saying, “I may be a white boy, but I’m not stupid.”

“I know where the power is … you think I’m joking,” Biden continued. “I learned a long time ago about the Divine Nine.”

Senior digital strategist Greg Price also called Biden out over other remarks, like claiming he was heavily involved in the civil rights movement of the 1960s.

He added there is a dearth of evidence supporting Biden’s claims.

Biden has made similarly wincing comments about race in the past. In August 2019, Biden said, “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids” while discussing education.

“We should challenge these students, we should challenge students in these schools and have advance placement programs in these schools,” Biden said. “We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Biden also said during an interview amid the 2020 presidential race that “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
