San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins has announced charges against 26 individuals involved in an anti-Israel blockade of the Golden Gate Bridge in April, which caused significant disruption and halted traffic for several hours.
“Some charged w/ felony conspiracy, false imprisonment, etc. Arrest warrants issued,” Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin posted on X.

“Victims include someone missing a pre-op brain surgery appointment to remove a brain tumor, a surgeon who had to cancel and reschedule their entire surgery schedule for the day, and a disabled child being stuck on a school bus for four hours on the bridge. Hundreds were trapped on the bridge against their will. Some serious charges here via SFDA Brooke Jenkins – who has taken a tougher on crime approach following the recall of former SFDA Chesa Boudin.”
Jenkins’ stance on law enforcement represents a stark contrast to her predecessors, George Gascón, now the District Attorney in Los Angeles, and Chesa Boudin, both of whom were perceived as more lenient towards criminals rather than prioritizing victims.
Following the pro-Palestine blockade of the bridge, Jenkins urged those who were trapped or delayed due to the action to seek restitution from San Francisco law enforcement, noting that they had done nothing to prevent the blockade. She emphasized that “victims” subjected to this form of false imprisonment “may be entitled to restitution and have other victims’ rights.”
At a press conference, Jenkins announced her consideration of charges against the protesters, a promise she has now fulfilled.
Anti-Israel protests continue to occur across the United States as the conflict in Gaza persists, though they have decreased since the end of the school year. Protests erupted in Times Square following the assassinations of two Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, where radicals burned American flags and displayed images of deceased Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and current Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Some demonstrators were seen carrying flags associated with Hamas and Al-Qassam.
Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly reached out to the anti-Israel far left due to significant desertion from the Biden administration. Former President Trump has remarked that Democrats hate Israel, suggesting that anyone who supports Israel should vote for him.
