President Donald Trump issued a clear warning to Iran on Friday, urging the regime to reach a nuclear deal, or face even more devastating consequences after Israel’s massive overnight strikes.
“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal,” Trump said. “Certain Iranian hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!”
Hours later, Trump followed up with a post on social media.
“Two months ago I gave Iran a 60 day ultimatum to ‘make a deal.’ They should have done it! Today is day 61. I told them what to do, but they just couldn’t get there. Now they have, perhaps, a second chance.”
The statement came after Israel launched one of the most extensive military strikes in its history, targeting more than 100 sites inside Iran and eliminating several top Iranian military commanders.
Among the dead are IRGC Air Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami, and Emergency Command leader Gholam Al-Rashid.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, over 200 Israeli Air Force jets participated in the strike.
In addition, a secret Mossad-operated drone base inside Iran destroyed multiple Iranian missile launchers, crippling Tehran’s ability to respond effectively.
All Israeli airmen involved reportedly returned home without casualties.
Trump confirmed that Israel used U.S. military equipment for the strike.
He called it the “best and most lethal in the world,” and warned that there’s “much more to come.”
“There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end,” Trump said.
“Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.”
Just days ago, the Trump administration was preparing for a sixth round of nuclear talks with Iran, scheduled to be held in Oman on Sunday.
Those talks are now canceled.
Meanwhile, Israel says it successfully hit one of Iran’s most critical nuclear facilities — the site in Natanz.
That facility, according to reports, was capable of producing enough weapons-grade uranium for multiple nuclear warheads in just one month.
“We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear weaponization program,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in live remarks.
“We targeted Iran’s main enrichment facility in Natanz,” he said.
